My Favorite Movie
My Favorite Movie
The first time I heard of the title " Kill Bill " was in 5th grade. My dad was complimenting how great of a movie it was and how when I was older I had to watch it with him. At first, I was hesitant. Kill Bill sounds like a fighter macho man movie to me.
Fast Forward to a few months ago. I was scrolling through my Netflix, bored as usual, and was home alone. I didn't feel like watching another Ghibli film as the " girl saves boy " trope was kinda getting too evident when I watched the films back to back.
Low and behold I found Kill Bill Vol. 1
I took one look and decided to give the movie a try, stepping out of my dramatic romantic genre and into action dark comedy.
The film has a great eye for movement , aesthetic , and overall camera work within each frame. Quentin Tarantino really did a number on my artistic thought. Maybe also because the main character was a female lead who was a samurai assassin. It doesn't get anymore girlboss than that folks. Also , I found it very brilliant how the MC was called " the bride " until 2/3 into the second movie. It made myself feel more connected to the plot without knowing her full identity.
Everything about this movie was delivered perfectly. the dialogue , the acting , the characters , even the crazy wack plot still seemed to make right on the spot.
My favorite character will always have to be the Pussy Wagon and possibly Gogo, even though she was a psychotic 17 year old, ,, she was still able to kick ass in a school girl uniform. That takes skill.
I MEAN COME ON LOOK AT HERRRRR HOW CAN SOMEONE BE SO PRETTYYYY ;__;
Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2 will always be in my top 5 favorite movies. Give them a solid 10/10 my guy.
I RECOMMEND IT !!!!!
